One budget for both of you
Separate logins, shared visibility, and no password passing. Borderless Budget is built for budgeting together, including couples who earn in different currencies or bank in different countries.
Budgeting as a couple shouldn't mean one shared password
Most budgeting apps are designed for one person. Couples feel that design everywhere.
One of you owns the spreadsheet
One partner maintains the budget, the other gets a summary over dinner. The person doing the work burns out, and the person out of the loop can't make day-to-day decisions with the full picture.
Sharing a login is the only way to share the budget
Many budgeting apps are built for one person, so couples end up passing one password back and forth. That breaks the moment you add passkeys or two-factor authentication, and it means no one knows who changed what.
You earn in different currencies
One of you is paid in euros, the other in dollars. Shared rent comes out of one account, groceries out of another, and no single-currency app can show what you spend as a household without a conversion spreadsheet on the side.
Your accounts live in different banks, or different countries
Two checking accounts, a joint account, separate credit cards, maybe in two countries. Seeing the household's actual spending means logging into everything, every time.
How Borderless Budget works for couples
Everyone gets their own login. Everyone sees the same money.
Two logins, one budget
Invite your partner by email and they join the same budget with their own login and full access, no shared passwords. Up to 4 household members are included, each with their own login and full access, at no extra cost.
Both sets of accounts in one picture
Each of you connects your own banks, up to 10 accounts across the US, Canada, and the EU, joint accounts included. Spending, budgets, and recurring charges show up in one shared view for both of you.
Different currencies, one household total
If one of you earns in euros and the other in dollars, every amount converts to the home currency you choose, with the original amount kept beside it. You see what the household spent, not two halves in two currencies.
Either of you can do the money work
Both partners can categorize transactions, adjust budgets, and manage recurring charges. The budget stops being one person's job, and nobody is waiting for an export to know where things stand.
Built for households, not just users
- Up to 4 household members, each with their own login
- One subscription for the whole household
- Connect bank accounts across the US, Canada, and EU
- Every amount converted to the home currency you choose
- AI categorization across languages and currencies
- Recurring charge detection for shared subscriptions
- Budgets both of you can see and edit
- Export data to CSV any time
Example: a couple earning in euros and dollars
Anna works for a Berlin company and is paid in euros. Sam works remotely for a US company and is paid in dollars. Rent comes out of Anna's German account, groceries and travel go on Sam's US card, and the streaming subscriptions are split between both.
In Borderless Budget, each of them connects their own accounts under their own login. They set euros as the budget's home currency, so Sam's dollar spending converts automatically at daily rates. Both of them see the same household total, the same category budgets, and the same list of upcoming subscriptions.
Nobody maintains a spreadsheet, and nobody has to ask how the month is going.
